Wine & Design, a leader in the paint-and-sip industry, is hiring for a charismatic art instructor for our Charlotte location. The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality, a love for art and teaching paint events, and a strong team spirit to give our guests the most memorable art experience. Hourly compensation of $15 per hour with excellent growth and tip potential. Employment type: part-time.

Location: 1419 East Boulevard, Suite J, Charlotte, NC 28203.

Overview

Wine & Design Charlotte is seeking an enthusiastic Art Instructor to lead painting events, develop new painting concepts, and promote events.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop new painting concepts to be taught in classes and used for promotion of events.
• Develop and execute detailed step-by-step teaching methods for guests to follow.
• Maintain an energetic, confident pace in class while encouraging creativity and self-expression.
• Create an atmosphere of fun in class.
• Assist staff during check-in to ensure a smooth class flow.
• Set up class before guests arrive, assisting with sketches of canvases and cleanup after class.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Design and execute quality acrylic art in various painting styles.
• Basic computer skills and internet knowledge (and have access to a computer).
• Confident public speaking and socially outgoing to interact with guests.
• Naturally organized to keep schedule of events.
• Maintain flexible hours during the evening and on weekends.

Preferred Education/Experience

• Fine Arts Degree or Junior/Senior in Fine Arts with demonstrated painting skills.
• Some experience leading a group of people (classroom or otherwise).
• Resume with work history.
• 5 samples of your original work with acrylics.
