Overview
Graphic Designer III role at The University of Texas at Dallas. The designer will assist in the design and production of high quality, creative artwork for print and digital media in support of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, with a primary focus on alumni-related projects.
Minimum Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in commercial art, design, advertising or related field.
- A minimum of three years as a graphic designer or production assistant in a design firm, advertising agency, printing plant or similar organization or equivalent experience and education.
- Experience designing graphics for ads, brochures, publications, billboards and invitations.
Preferred Education And Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a graphic designer or production assistant in a design firm, advertising agency, marketing firm or similar organization. Experience designing graphics for publications, brochures, invitations, promotional materials and social media. Excellent proofreading skills.
- Experience with short-form video editing and motion graphics is preferred but not required.
- Excellent knowledge and skill in computer graphics and desktop publishing software. Experience in use of Mac computers. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop), and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Creatively design and prepare layouts for printed and web-based materials.
- Work collaboratively between the development communications and alumni teams to produce time-sensitive materials.
- Balance multiple projects with various purposes, contribute in pre-production meetings to discuss creative ideation for copy, design and photography.
- Illustrate and present conceptual ideas with a layout of all artistic components.
Additional Information
- Occasionally requires work hours in the evening or on the weekends.
- Remote Work Notice: Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
