Alsip-Merrionette Park Public Library District is hiring: Library Shelver I - Yo

The Round Lake Area Public Library is looking for a Library Shelver to keep library stacks in order and to assist library staff. The Library Shelver sorts and shelves library materials in alphabetical and numerical order, keeps shelves tidy and organized, and other tasks as outlined in the job description. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision and excellent oral and written communication skills. This position includes morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Sort and shelve library materials in alphabetical and numerical order; maintain tidy and organized shelves; assist library staff as needed; other tasks as outlined in the job description.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Familiarity with libraries and Dewey Decimal System is preferred. Applicants should have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
