Are you interested in joining a highly collaborative, team-based environment working to acquire, preserve, and provide access to digital collections at the Library of Congress? Do you enjoy creative problem solving that contributes to automating processes, developing workflows, working with large amounts of digital content, and making digital collections accessible? The Digital Content Management Section (DCM) is seeking a Digital Collections Specialist to join its dedicated, engaged, and innovative staff.
DCM manages a variety of digital collections including content collected through the Library’s web archiving program, eBooks, e-Journals, digitized materials, bulk datasets, and more. The section maintains custodial responsibility for digital collections, facilitates born-digital acquisitions, conducts research and testing on digital content management methods, and develops policies and procedures for digital content management.
