Role: Studio Assistant. This junior role provides exposure to the design process. It is ideal for someone who is proactive, eager to learn and collaborate, highly organized, with strong attention to detail, a good eye for design, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the studio with administrative duties, such as setting up vendor meetings, submitting invoices, and general organization.
  • Assist the Associate Design Director with collection development and project management.
  • Participate in the quality control CFA (Cutting for Approval) process by checking production yardage for flaws and imperfections to ensure high-quality fabrics, trims, and wallcoverings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design or related field.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet).
  • Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator); experience with AVA is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of techniques and production methods across textiles: prints, wovens, wallcoverings, and trims.
  • Previous experience in design, project or data management, or quality control is a plus.
  • Strong conceptual and layout skills, with a good eye for design and color.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize under pressure.
  • Ability to follow directions and execute revisions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to pitch in as needed and maintain a “no-task-is-too-small” attitude.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits & Compensation

Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr
