Overview
Lead UI/UX Designer Knowt (2025) at Knowt. We are seeking a creative, innovative, and enthusiastic individual to join our design team as a UI/UX Designer. This role involves researching, planning, and designing new interfaces for our web and mobile applications. This is a great opportunity for recent grads (up to ~3–4 years out of school) who are passionate about shaping the future of education. You will lead our design efforts, working directly with the CEO on a daily basis.
Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Requirements
- PREFER APPLICANTS IN THE UNITED STATES
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design projects that demonstrate creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or equivalent
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles and UI/UX best practices
- Understanding of responsive design and a mobile-first approach
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for basic prototyping and communication with developers (nice to have)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and project requirements
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design ideas and interactions
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile platforms
- Conduct user research and usability testing, gathering feedback to iterate on designs
- Ensure consistency in design language, branding, and user experience across all platforms
- Work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of designs, providing support as needed
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and design critiques to generate innovative ideas
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of design systems, pattern libraries, and documentation
- Advocate for the user and uphold accessibility standards throughout the design process
Process

- Round 1 Interview to discuss the design challenge and related experiences
- Revise your design challenge based on feedback and share revisions asynchronously
- Final decision communicated to candidates
