Location: This role is based in the Boulder, CO office and is a hybrid role open to candidates in any Informa office location. The Director of Content will drive content strategy and operations across Data Center World events and AFCOM, our premier professional association serving individuals and organizations in the data center industry since 1980. This is a leadership role for a content strategist with technology sector expertise to capitalize on the data center industry’s growth. Responsibilities

Conference Program Development and Management

Create comprehensive agendas for Data Center World and Data Center World POWER conferences Develop themes, tracks, and core topics addressing industry challenges including power sourcing, sustainability, and AI-driven infrastructure Recruit and manage speakers Manage conference advisory boards to provide insights and support for organizational initiatives Support all program elements during events

Global Expansion

Partner with the Event Director and leadership team to expand Data Center World’s international footprint Identify emerging markets and opportunities for growth

AFCOM Leadership

Drive membership growth and chapter expansion Implement organizational efficiencies Produce engaging content that advances the careers of data center and IT infrastructure professionals Support AFCOM’s mission of serving professionals who design, build, operate, and manage data centers Manage team including contractors

Industry and End-User Relationships

Collaborate with Event Director to cultivate partnerships with industry groups and end-user audiences to deepen engagement and ensure alignment with needs Represent the brand at industry events Build relationships with key technology providers and solution partners

Research and Thought Leadership

Coordinate and oversee development of the annual State of the Data Center research Identify emerging trends and disruptive technologies affecting the industry

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Support the sales team with strategic account acquisition Advise marketing on event positioning within the full professional ecosystem Develop content strategies for audience development and lead generation using data-driven approaches Collaborate with a strategic PR agency to design and execute earned media strategies Work with digital teams to optimize content delivery across channels

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of the data center industry (or technology sector) with understanding of trends, players, and growth sectors Strong stakeholder management experience Proven experience developing conference/event content both strategically and operationally Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines Experience creating diverse content formats (articles, blogs, video interviews, research reports) Commercially-minded leader with experience supporting revenue-driving activities Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Public speaking confidence and ability to be a key face of the brand Effective leadership to build an inclusive team culture Established industry connections to facilitate speaker recruitment and partnerships Additional Information

The pay range for this position is $120,000.00 - 140,000.00, depending on experience. This role will expire on Oct 31st 2025 Benefits and Work Style
