Vitreoretinal Surgeon - Open Rank of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Benefits eligible. The Department is expanding and seeks an outstanding vitreoretinal surgeon to join our growing group. The appointment will contribute to the preservation and restoration of vision for our patients. Responsibilities

Develop a busy clinical practice at the UNM Hospital Eye Clinic. Share responsibility with existing faculty for call and for medical student and resident education. Commit to clinical care, teaching, and research in an academic setting. Support the Eye Clinic, which provides a mix of tertiary and indigent care as part of the UNM Health System. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for position: Completion of an Ophthalmology Residency Program Completion of Vitreo-retinal Fellowship Board certified/eligible in Ophthalmology Eligible for licensure in New Mexico Eligible to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications for position: Experience in clinical education Experience in clinical research A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities Application Instructions
