Associate Corporate Counsel, Prime Video Sports
Prime Video is part of Amazon’s Global Entertainment Legal group, delivering award-winning sports content, movies, TV shows, music, games, audiobooks, podcasts, and streaming entertainment to customers around the world. As a member of the Prime Video Legal team, you will help create the future of sports and entertainment within a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating licensing, production, marketing, and other commercial agreements
- Helping launch new sports properties and reinvent the ways customers consume sports content
- Providing ongoing legal counsel across a range of fields, including intellectual property, digital media, and regulatory compliance
- Some travel may be required
A day in the life
Prime Video highlights must-see sporting events, movies, TV shows, and other content within a seamless streaming experience. You will provide legal support for various teams within the Prime Video business and serve as lead counsel in drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements with sports rightsholders, production vendors, device manufacturers, and other partners. You will collaborate with the Prime Video Legal team to deliver results on a range of projects and develop expertise on new product initiatives and regulatory matters affecting the business.

Prime Video Legal is part of the Global Entertainment Legal group, which also includes Amazon MGM Studios, Amazon Music, Audible, Games, and Twitch.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional, licensing, or other commercial legal work
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the sports industry
- Experience with a top corporate law firm and/or top in-house position
- Knowledge of internet, software, and media industries and the legal and regulatory environment in which they operate or equivalent
- Enthusiasm for sports, entertainment, and technology, evidenced by familiarity with current industry trends and practices
- Significant experience structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing a broad range of commercial contracts
- Ability to make difficult judgments in ambiguous situations
- Ability to deliver results independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to embrace challenges and drive meaningful solutions amid complexity and uncertainty
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
- Creativity, self-awareness, and a sense of humor
- Expertise in media and entertainment with adaptability to a changing environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year to $195,700/year, depending on location and other factors. Amazon is a total compensation company; equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
