Overview

The Foundation is looking for a qualified and experienced Grant Writer to support identifying funding opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, and securing financial resources to advance the organization’s mission of improving community health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Grant Research & Identification
- Research and identify local, state, federal, and private Foundation opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal opportunities.
- Analyze funding trends and new grant opportunities to support program expansion.
- Develop, draft, and edit persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and concept notes tailored to donor requirements.
- Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather data, budgets, and narratives for grant applications.
- Ensure all proposals are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
- Track awarded grants to ensure proper fund utilization and compliance with grant requirements.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, impact reports, and financial reports to funders.
- Monitor grant spending and work with the finance team to ensure adherence to funder guidelines.
- Funders Relationship Management
- Maintain regular communication with grant funders and respond to inquiries.
- Assist in organizing site visits, presentations, and donor appreciation events.
- Help build long-term relationships with foundations, corporate donors, and government agencies.
- Data Management & Documentation
- Maintain accurate grant records, proposals, and reporting documents in a centralized database.
- Ensure all grant-related documents are properly archived for future reference.
- Assist in analyzing grant performance data to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all proposals comply with donor guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.
- Prepare progress and final reports for funders, highlighting program outcomes and impact.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in mass communications. Candidates having PhD in mass communication will be preferred.
- Strong experience and sound knowledge of grant writing based in USA.
- Familiarity with funding institutions and processes.
- English Proficiency (Native English Speaker).
- At least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in successful grant writing and donor engagement.
- Proven track record of securing funds from foundations, corporations, or government agencies.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Based in the USA and able to present legal documents if required.
