The Ibn Sina Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare services to underserved and uninsured communities. The Foundation is looking for a qualified and experienced Grant Writer to support identifying funding opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, and securing financial resources to advance the organization’s mission of improving community health and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Grant Research & Identification
    • Research and identify local, state, federal, and private Foundation opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission.
    • Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal opportunities.
    • Analyze funding trends and new grant opportunities to support program expansion.
    • Develop, draft, and edit persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and concept notes tailored to donor requirements.
    • Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather data, budgets, and narratives for grant applications.
    • Ensure all proposals are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
    • Track awarded grants to ensure proper fund utilization and compliance with grant requirements.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports, impact reports, and financial reports to funders.
    • Monitor grant spending and work with the finance team to ensure adherence to funder guidelines.
  • Funders Relationship Management
    • Maintain regular communication with grant funders and respond to inquiries.
    • Assist in organizing site visits, presentations, and donor appreciation events.
    • Help build long-term relationships with foundations, corporate donors, and government agencies.
  • Data Management & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate grant records, proposals, and reporting documents in a centralized database.
    • Ensure all grant-related documents are properly archived for future reference.
    • Assist in analyzing grant performance data to measure impact and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure all proposals comply with donor guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.
    • Prepare progress and final reports for funders, highlighting program outcomes and impact.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in mass communications. Candidates having PhD in mass communication will be preferred.
  • Strong experience and sound knowledge of grant writing based in USA.
  • Familiarity with funding institutions and processes.
  • English Proficiency (Native English Speaker).
  • At least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in successful grant writing and donor engagement.
  • Proven track record of securing funds from foundations, corporations, or government agencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Based in the USA and able to present legal documents if required.
