Overview
The Temporary Video Producer Associate actively collaborates and engages with the video team, instructional designers, and graphic designers to create video content for educational online programs.
Responsibilities
- Support studio and on-location productions, including organizing studios before and after recording sessions.
- Setting-up lights, cameras and sound equipment for recording sessions, as assigned by the Video Production Manager and Video Producer Associate.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems and performs regular maintenance.
- Post-production support:
- Ingest, logging, syncing, and organization of media. Post-production project setup, editing, on-lining, archiving video, delivery, and managing of digital assets;
- Assemble footage into string outs, rough, fine and final cuts while maintaining professional standards;
- Receive and implement notes regarding the editing of projects based on content and input from the producers, instructional designers, and faculty members;
- Perform initial color correction passes and preliminary sound sweetening;
- Ensure quality control and consistency on final deliverables utilizing and recommending advanced technologies, workflows, and post-production methodologies
- Archiving and maintaining record of master files, making sure all footage is secured and backed up.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Communication, or similar field is required.
- Two plus years of prior studio or on-set experience preferred.
- Experience in handling DIT activities.
- Experience working in Studio for video production as grip and / or electric.
Skills and Knowledge
- Working experience with Canon and Blackmagic camera systems.
- Camera external recorders (Atomos).
- Professional sound equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and safety issues for studio and “on-location” recording.
- Detailed knowledge of video codecs and transcoding for web delivery.
- Good understanding of video and audio editing.
- Knowledge of data management, equipment compatibility, and post-production workflow.
- Knowledge of Mac OS systems.
- Software: Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Audition and DaVinci Resolve.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
