Job Summary/Description

Media Executives (ME’s) at Gray Media Anchorage work in a fast-paced environment where connection with new clients is critical. ME’s meet with local business leaders to solve marketing problems using Alaska’s most-watched television stations and premium digital advertising options. Successful ME’s are energized professionals who have meaningful business conversations with Alaska’s influential marketers and business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Be a NEW BUSINESS Champion – develop relationships with local business managers using creativity and connection
• Build winning campaign ideas specific to each client
• Author business agreements and negotiate terms with local business leaders
• Seek out and win the business of new advertisers through effective marketing of Alaska’s News Source brand
• Coordinate execution of plans across video production, broadcast television, and digital marketing products
• Use research and current events to uncover new opportunities for clients
• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate leads
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

• High energy and social personality; training provided by Gray Media Anchorage
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
• Microsoft Office experience required
• Ability to work well with others and maintain positive interdepartmental relationships
• Strong negotiation skills
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurability
