Position Overview
The Automobile Dealership Photographer is responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos of dealership inventory to be showcased across online platforms, marketing materials, and social media. This role ensures that all vehicle listings are visually appealing, consistent, and aligned with the dealership’s branding standards, helping to drive customer interest and sales.
Responsibilities
- Photograph dealership inventory (new, used, and certified vehicles) following standardized angles and lighting requirements.
- Capture interior and exterior images that highlight vehicle features, condition, and details.
- Shoot and edit walkaround or feature highlight videos for online listings and social media.
- Upload and manage vehicle photos/videos on dealership websites, third-party marketplaces, and internal inventory systems.
- Maintain photo consistency across all platforms to reflect dealership brand standards.
- Stage vehicles (cleaning, positioning, removing clutter) to ensure the best presentation.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create promotional content.
- Monitor and maintain photography equipment, ensuring all tools are in proper working condition.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in automotive photography and emerging digital trends.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven Experience In Photography (automotive Photography Preferred). Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lighting equipment, and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Basic videography and video editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for composition and aesthetics.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of inventory photography.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required to move vehicles).
Work Environment
- Primarily on-site at the dealership lot and showroom.
- Outdoor work required in various weather conditions.
- May involve some indoor studio-style photography for marketing campaigns.
