Overview
The Golden State Warriors are looking for a hardworking and upbeat individual to deliver behind-the-scenes support to the Community Relations department. To be successful, you will need to demonstrate maturity, tech savviness, impeccable attention to detail and stellar organizational skills. This role supports the department's day-to-day activities and helps develop and deliver the Warriors’ vision of social responsibility and community platforms. You will collaborate with the department to develop and implement strategies, review requests for company engagement, and make recommendations that align with our philosophy. This position will also support Community Relations events and activities and reports directly to the Manager, Community Relations. This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day responsibilities of the department
- Coordinate game day communications and logistics, including external party communications and ticket distribution
- Manage donation process, including intake, inventory and storage
- Manage the Warriors in the Community newsletter and league communications
- Manage the Warriors in the Community social media channels
- Manage the department’s invoice submissions and processing
- Maintain all departmental calendars
- Intake department inquiries and filter public requests accordingly
- Ensure the Warriors Community Relations website is updated regularly and in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service to internal customers and represent the company to external audiences
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration/Sports Management, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in community affairs, cause-marketing and/or corporate social responsibility; 1 year of administrative or project/event management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; special consideration for individuals with Concur, Coupa, and Salesforce experience
- Digital, social media and traditional marketing expertise
- Self-starter with the ability to successfully handle multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and business insight; ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization
- Valid driver's license
Time Commitment
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation
- $21.00 - 22.00 per hour + Bonus
