Purpose
The Los Angeles Film School, a leader in entertainment arts education, is seeking candidates for the position of Web Developer. The Los Angeles Film School is an accredited college that specializes in entertainment and media arts education. Our campus is located in the heart of Hollywood with over 250,000 square feet of state-of-the-art classrooms and equipment. We offer a unique and fast-paced teaching and learning environment for our faculty and students. The role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to department specifications. Strive to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
Responsibilities
- Meeting with project managers to determine CRM needs.
- Developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform and a variety of other applications.
- Designing, coding, and implementing Salesforce applications.
- Creating timelines and development goals.
- Testing the stability and functionality of the application.
- Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
- Writing documents and providing technical training for Salesforce staff.
- Maintaining the security and integrity of the application software.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve high-level software and application issues.
- Proficient in MYSQL, Apex, JavaScript, Native, and Visual Force.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Focusing on individual/stakeholder requests with multiple user needs.
- Providing support for non-critical issues.
- Maintaining good customer-facing interfaces.
Other Responsibilities
- Work with other developers in conjunction with SIS integration.
- Occasionally lend support to web development.
Competencies/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills, E-Commerce, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility.
- Web UI Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, APIs, MySQL, and T-SQL scripting.
- Working knowledge of AI including design, development and implementation of AI solutions. Any knowledge of AI algorithms, machine learning and data analysis is welcomed.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field. Equivalent range experience can be considered.
