DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to participate in the full development lifecycle of systems that power next generation advertiser tooling in the Ads Console.

As an engineer within Advertiser Experience, you'll have a direct impact on your customers by making it easy and efficient for these suppliers to advertise their brands and products, increase sales, and improve the Amazon shopper experience.

Key job responsibilities You will own the design and implementation of major deliverables end-to-end. You will help define the product vision, advise on strategy, define a roadmap, and of course, lead in the execution. You'll contribute to data pipelines, data persistence, API design, front-end UI components, monitoring and measurement plans, and everything in between, as we take this to large-scale production.

This position requires collaboration with product managers, technical program managers and partner teams, necessitating a comfort-level with ambiguity and a desire to create, iterate and improve.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning new technologies, quality, consistency, maintainability, performance, security, and all the other things that make great software great.

About the team Self-Service Performance Advertising provides the platform for some of Amazon's fastest growing strategic businesses, such as Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display.

The Advertiser Experience group owns the experience of the advertiser from the moment they decide to engage with our platform right through the full lifecycle of self-service advertising management. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses driving long term growth, and as such our organization's initiatives are highly visible to Amazon's executive leadership. We are growing at an unprecedented rate with a seemingly endless range of new opportunities, and have been a broad mandate to experiment and innovate. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design - Experience working with AI tooling, either as part of development or deliverable features.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
