Responsibilities:
Support senior mechanical engineers in the design of new motor drive products to meet product specification and cost requirements
Create designs and implement changes in SolidWorks as directed and create individual part drawings and assembly drawings in accordance with company standards.
Create bills of materials and engineering change orders using Agile to document production-ready designs
Conduct performance, design verification and similar tests and author test reports to document results and conclusions
Qualifications:
An Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience designing electro-mechanical products using SolidWorks or similar tools. Experience in lieu of a formal degree may be acceptable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as an enthusiastic, accountable, and collaborative member of the team
Proficiency with laboratory equipment, 3D printers and other tools and test equipment used to create, assemble and modify prototypes.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks design tools
Experience with motor drives or motion control systems is a plus
