$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr . This range is provided by the organization. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. (Chicago/Hybrid) The Graphic Designer creates a wide variety of visually compelling designs that communicate the organization’s brand message, engages with donors and partners, and supports the mission. The designer will produce assets for print, digital, and social platforms. This role reports to the Graphic Design Manager and is based at the Chicago headquarters. Responsibilities

Creative Project Execution and Content Creation

– Independently and collaboratively execute internal creative projects, including design and production of branded promotions and educational resources from concept to completion. This covers digital media (websites, emails, social media, interactive materials, presentations, internal reports) and print media (ads, brochures, exhibits, signage, invitations, cards, premiums). Source, optimize, and create original logos, diagrams, infographics, illustrations, and animations. Retouch and optimize photos and contribute to photo shoots. Project Coordination

– Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines. Template Design

– Create templates and sample designs for colleagues to use independently; act as a design resource; champion design excellence and adherence to brand and copyright guidelines. Records Management and Digital Standards

– Maintain organized files for sharing and archives; record hours, document photo usage, and generate reports; develop and manage standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency; stay up to date on digital media standards, software, international design considerations, and design trends. Technical & Individual Skills

– Demonstrate strong visual storytelling; design for different audiences and channels; apply best practices for digital, print, interactive, and presentation materials; adhere to branding and copyright guidelines; proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); understand color for print vs. digital; experience with After Effects; intermediate MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; some HTML/CSS knowledge; clear communication; excellent attention to detail and time management; ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience in creating graphic design for digital and print formats from ideation through production. Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders; nonprofit sector experience and Android design software experience preferred. Additional Information
