Overview
Senior Graphics Engineer, Raven Software
- Remote. You will be optimizing, enhancing, and developing new rendering systems on top of the foundation of Call of Duty's AAA engine technology. You will collaborate with graphics engineers across our studios to shape graphics technology and keep Call of Duty on the visual cutting edge. You will develop graphics systems for our shipping products and improve workflows for the development team. Proficiency in writing efficient C/C++ and shader code is required. Qualified candidates will have a background in graphics engine development with fluency in modern graphics techniques, GPUs, graphics APIs, shaders, multi-threading, memory management, performance, and optimizations. This position is eligible for remote work.
Responsibilities
Develop, modify, optimize, and debug rendering engine systems. Deploy, evaluate performance, and test software on all supported platforms. Communicate features and development progress with production, engineering, design, and art teams. Participate in performance and code review processes. Contribute to the design and roadmap of industry-leading AAA graphics engine technology. Collaborate and co-develop with other engineering and art teams. Report to the Lead Graphics Engineer.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years of experience in the game industry or related field. Experience developing and optimizing graphics systems. Understanding of computer architecture, GPUs, multithreading, and memory systems. Strong programming background in C/C++. Experience writing shaders (HLSL or equivalent). Development experience on a current generation platform (console, PC, and/or mobile). Familiarity with modern graphics APIs (D3D12, Vulkan, PS4/PS5, etc.). Solid debugging and profiling skills on both CPU and GPU. Strong 3D math background.
Preferred Qualifications & Attributes
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or math-related field. Demonstrated ability to write efficient, readable, and reliable code. Proven ability to collaborate, coordinate, communicate, and support other team members. Creative, motivated, focused, passionate, results-oriented. Passion for games and graphics technology.
Experience & Extras
Experience with GPU compute. Familiarity with physically based rendering / lighting and/or ray tracing. Demonstrated work with modern consoles, profilers, and toolchains.
