Overview U.S. Bank is seeking a seasoned and visionary

Associate Creative Director (ACD)

with a background in art direction and design to join our in-house brand team. This role is ideal for a creative leader with 10+ years of experience across both agency and in-house environments, who thrives at the intersection of strategy, visual storytelling, and execution. The ACD will lead and inspire cross-functional creative teams, providing art direction, design expertise, and guidance throughout the development of campaigns and deliverables. You will help shape our brand’s go-to-market presence with a more sophisticated, modern aesthetic and report to the Brand Creative Lead.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the lead art director and visual brand steward for U.S. Bank.

Translate complex business strategies into clear, motivating, on-brand visual messaging.

Lead the development of creative concepts and campaign designs across digital, social, and traditional media.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across verticals to ensure creative alignment and consistency.

Present creative work with confidence and clarity to executive leadership, including the C-suite.

Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, curiosity, and excellence.

Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI and creative technology, guiding the team into the next phase of innovation.

Champion a collaborative, enthusiastic, and solutions-oriented approach to creative leadership.

Stay current with cultural trends and platform-specific best practices.

Be hands-on with design execution when needed, supporting the team with expert-level creative contributions.

Package, present, and sell creative ideas effectively to stakeholders and leadership.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

Typically eight or more years of related experience

Portfolio link required to be eligible for this role (applications without a portfolio link will not be considered)

Preferred Skills/Experience

10+ years of experience in creative art direction and design roles

Proven success in both agency and/or in-house environments

Deep understanding of branding, advertising, and social media

Strong portfolio of advertising work with impactful visual campaigns across TV, digital, and social

Experience in financial services is a strong plus

Exceptional presentation and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to lead teams and inspire award-winning work

Knowledgeable about contemporary culture

Curious, adaptable, and excited about elevating the people around you

Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus

Hybrid/flexible schedule with in-office expectation of 3+ days per week
