As a Software Development Engineer (SDE), be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying distributed systems and large-scale solutions for our customer base. Collaborate closely with a team of scientists, product managers, and engineers to influence overall strategy and define the team’s road map. Drive system architecture, spearhead best practices that enable a quality product, and help coach and develop junior engineers. Demonstrate a strong engineering background in large-scale software systems, strong technical ability, effective communication, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. Our team works with AI technologies to transform how customers discover and engage with music and podcasts. We focus on building personalized and dynamic experiences that allow customers to use natural language to find and discover content they love across mobile apps, web player, voice-forward engagement on mobile and Echo devices, in-car integrations, and more. Amazon Music is available worldwide, and our applications support our mission of delivering music and podcasts in new and exciting ways that enhance daily life. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent Equal Opportunity
