Job Title:- RF (Radio Frequency) Engineer Location:- 4555 Overlook Ave Southwest DC Onsite 5x / week. They are open to a candidate willing to relocate. Contract Must have
Active Secret Clearance MATLAB experience Anechoic Chamber experience Notes
understand radar works and gets built, how oscillators/receivers work, not system type people but the people who can build the stuff RF propagation (with respect to electromagnetic field, not just decibel-based link budget analysis) Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to support advanced development and testing of RF systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either RF hardware design and testing or RF propagation modeling, with a preference for radar system experience. This role requires hands-on expertise with RF test equipment and proficiency in MATLAB for modeling and analysis. Key Responsibilities
Experience with anechoic chamber operation Develop test plans for radar and countermeasure systems Design, develop, and test RF hardware components, with a focus on radar or communications systems. Conduct RF propagation modeling and analysis, emphasizing electromagnetic field behavior beyond basic link budget calculations. Utilize MATLAB for simulation and modeling of RF propagation scenarios. Operate and interpret results from RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers and network analyzers. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate RF systems into larger platforms. Document test procedures, results, and technical findings clearly and accurately. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Proven experience in RF hardware design and testing at the component level (radar preferred). RF propagation modeling with a focus on electromagnetic field behavior. Proficiency in MATLAB for RF modeling and simulation. Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with radar systems and signal processing. Familiarity with RF system integration and troubleshooting. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance for RF systems.
