As part of the Disney Experiences (DX) Global PR team, the
Manager, Public Relations
is responsible for leading influencer programming in support of Disney Experiences. This role is part of a specialized bi-coastal team that works closely with partners across the segment to elevate stories among key advocates and content creators. Responsibilities
Drive influencer strategy for client initiatives, including seasonal campaigns, new products and target segments. Provide support for other DX segment businesses, as needed. Align with site/LOB teams on campaign/project objectives and creator deliverables. Design content-generating programming that’s creative, engaging and tailored to influencers’ preferences. Manage activation planning and on-site hosting, identifying immersive creator content opportunities for individual experiences, meet-ups and large-scale events. Partner with Special Events on budget allocations. Cultivate relationships with creator contacts through proactive outreach, regular communication and when applicable, on-site hosting. Identify influencers for potential engagement opportunities, evaluating authenticity, reputation, content quality, engagement metrics and alignment with Disney’s brand. Oversee the intake process and flow of influencer requests from internal partners. Report on campaign/project results and leverage data/metrics to provide valuable insights. Stay apprised of emerging social media features/trends and lean into platform-specific programming and content opportunities for target creators. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field. 5+ years of relevant experience in communications/public relations and/or influencer marketing. Excellent writing and storytelling, presentation, and research skills, with an understanding of how to effectively communicate to different audiences. Experience leading projects and campaign initiatives with an understanding of overarching goals, objective, and relevant considerations. A strategic approach and flair for disruptive thinking, and a unique personal and professional perspective. A standout teammate who loves working collaboratively on projects and isn’t afraid to share “blue sky” ideas. Experience monitoring communications programs and using data to inform strategy. Flexible, organized, and can balance multiple projects simultaneously, while paying close attention to detail. Desired Qualifications
An appreciation for the Disney brand and an understanding of the many global businesses represented within Disney Experiences. Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule as needed. The hiring range for this position in Glendale is $113,800 to $152,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
