We’re hiring
Technical Designers
on behalf of our client, a leader in physical and digital signage solutions. This
direct hire
role is based
onsite in Albuquerque, NM
, with the potential for a hybrid schedule in the future. You’ll play a key role in the design, development, and production of
interior and exterior signage
, supporting both digital and physical projects.
What You’ll Do
As a Technical Designer, you’ll be responsible for turning creative and architectural concepts into precise technical documentation. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure signage designs are functional, manufacturable, and meet all project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed
2D and 3D technical drawings
, shop drawings, and fabrication documents using
Revit
and
AutoCAD .
Produce accurate
Bills of Materials (BOMs)
and cutting lists to support manufacturing.
Work alongside
sales, design, engineering, and production teams
to ensure cost-effective, production-ready solutions.
Interpret
architectural drawings
, client specifications, and engineering requirements to create viable signage solutions.
Proactively identify and resolve design or technical issues.
Ensure all documentation complies with
building codes, ADA requirements
, and industry standards.
Organize and manage design files, ensuring proper version control and accessibility.
Contribute to design reviews and offer technical insights and recommendations.
Keep up to date on industry tools, materials, and manufacturing techniques relevant to signage production.
What You’ll Bring
Expertise in Revit and AutoCAD
is required.
Bachelor’s degree in
Architecture, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering
, or a related field preferred—or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of
5 years’ experience
as a Technical Designer or similar role, preferably within
sign manufacturing, architectural, or fabrication industries .
Strong knowledge of materials (e.g., metals, plastics, LEDs) and manufacturing processes relevant to signage.
Excellent
spatial reasoning
and ability to visualize 3D structures from 2D plans.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and file management.
Ability to thrive in both
independent
and
collaborative
environments.
Proactive problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
Effective
written and verbal communication
skills.
Experience with tools like
Inventor, SolidWorks
, or other
Autodesk Suite
programs is a plus.
