Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the Roku TV app, ensuring high performance and reliability across devices.
- Implement new features and enhancements using BrightScript, SceneGraph, and React-like component libraries.
- Collaborate with product and UX teams to translate designs into seamless, user-friendly interfaces.
- Run experiments and analyze results to optimize the user experience and engagement.
- Contribute to the continuous integration pipeline with automated unit tests and quality assurance practices.
- Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing within the development team.
- Support cross-platform initiatives, including interoperability with other connected TV devices and APIs.
- 2+ years of Roku development experience, including proficiency with SceneGraph and Roku APIs.
- 4+ years of frontend or UI development experience.
- Strong understanding of React and Redux concepts.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with the Roku ecosystem, device capabilities, and best practices.
- Experience building high-quality, scalable TV or streaming apps.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and passion for creating excellent user experiences.
- Nice-to-have: experience with GraphQL APIs, video playback, cross-device interoperability (e.g., casting), or other 10-foot platforms such as Samsung, LG Smart TVs, FireTV, Android TV, or Apple TV.
- Annual salary: $135,000-$190,000 depending on experience and location.
