Realty Publications Inc is hiring: Full-time, In-house Assistant Video Editor in

We are one of the largest Department of Real Estate (DRE)-approved real estate educators in California. We’re seeking a talented and detail-oriented Assistant Video Editor to join our creative team and help produce high-level, engaging educational videos. This is a great opportunity for someone who is collaborative and passionate about visual storytelling.

The position is hourly, full-time (40 hours/week) Monday through Friday, 8:25 AM to 5:25 PM in Riverside, CA. Pay is dependent on experience. There is an opportunity for bonuses and periodic pay increases based on merit and demonstration of high-level performance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Edit and assemble rough cuts using Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred)
- Trimming footage to remove unnecessary parts.
- Arranging clips to create a logical and engaging flow.

Create After Effects compositions

• Audio Editing
  - Syncing audio with video.
  - Cleaning up background noise and enhancing clarity.
  - Adding music, voiceovers, and sound effects.
• Add text, graphics, images, and light animations to enhance clarity and engagement.
• Collaborate with management and the video team to determine optimal visual presentation.
• Follow brand and style guidelines to ensure visual consistency.
• Contribute creative input to the overall look and feel of each project.
• Keep organized editing logs and clearly document sessions for internal collaboration.
• Export final videos using Adobe Media Encoder with appropriate codec and compression settings.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:

• 2+ years of professional editing experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including:
  - Premiere Pro
  - After Effects
  - Media Encoder
  - Audition (or Pro Tools)
  - Photoshop
  - Illustrator
• Experience with green screen keying and Keylight 1.2.
• Proficiency in audio editing and mastering in Audition or similar software.
• Strong skills in data management, backup protocols, and file organization.
• Comfortable with Mac-based editing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Strong visual judgment, including sense of composition, color, and balance.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving in deadline-driven settings.
• Receptiveness to constructive feedback and ability to implement changes effectively.
• A keen sense of humor and a passion for making engaging content.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating engaging video content for social media (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
• Familiarity with 4K/6K cameras and high-resolution production workflows.
• Basic lighting and grip experience (studio or on-location).
• Knowledge of color correction and color grading techniques.
• Some experience shooting Log (Braw) and best practices
