VPI Compounding Pharmacy, a leading provider of personalized medication solutions, is actively seeking a Staff Writer with strong writing and technical skills to support the creation of clear, well-structured content across all departments. This role is essential in helping teams communicate processes, procedures, and technical information effectively, ensuring documentation is consistent, accurate, and meets regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is also comfortable using AI tools to enhance content development and streamline documentation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write, edit, and maintain a wide range of content including SOPs, training guides, internal communications, reports, batch records, and compliance documents.
  • Translate complex scientific and technical information into clear, concise content tailored to different audiences, including non-technical staff and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with teams across Compounding, Quality, Warehouse, and Admin to support any content needs with high-quality written materials.
  • Fact-check all materials and verify against original sources to ensure scientific and regulatory accuracy.
  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar platforms) to draft, revise, or optimize content while maintaining editorial oversight and quality control.
  • Ensure all content follows company formatting standards and complies with FDA, USP, State, and 503A regulations.
  • Apply strong document management practices including version control, formatting consistency, and organized archiving.
  • Support audit-readiness by maintaining organized, up-to-date documentation that can be easily referenced during internal reviews or regulatory inspections
  • Work within Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools to build and manage documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience writing and editing technical documents in a professional environment.
  • Strong technical and formatting skills using Microsoft Office and other document tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI writing and editing tools responsibly and effectively.
  • Excellent fact-checking and research skills to ensure high content accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple writing projects while working collaboratively across teams.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards as applied to 503A compounding
  • Exceptional grammar, organization, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience writing for regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, or scientific research.
  • Familiarity with compounding pharmacy practices and 503A documentation requirements.
  • Understanding of FDA and USP compliance standards.
