Overview

The Videographer is in charge of the library of photo and video content published by the Department of Student Media, both online and internal. The role attends official SXU events to take pictures, shoot video, and maintain the archive of the Department of Student Media.

Responsibilities

  • In charge of all picture content for Student Media including: The Xavierite and WXAV 88.3FM
  • Attends SXU events to supply pictures for publication in The Xavierite
  • Collaborates with student DJs and writers in shooting interviews with potential guests
  • Publishes video and photography across Student Media’s various social media platforms
  • Leading member of the Entertainment Committee
  • Has experience utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, specifically: Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Attend weekly general staff meetings
  • Maintain weekly-posted office hours (4 hours per week)

Requirements

  • Must be a student at Saint Xavier University
  • Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
  • Must include a resume and cover letter
  • Experience in photography and video production preferred
