Qualifications

  • Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Department Required Skills: Organizational & Project Management; Marketing & Strategy Development; Content Creation & Communication; Brand & Messaging Compliance.
  • Organizational & Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously; experience tracking projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering timely results; ability to lead projects including gathering information, scheduling and directing stakeholder meetings, developing project plans, and ensuring projects stay on track; ability to collaborate effectively and evaluate the success of strategies.
  • Marketing & Strategy Development: Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies; promote programs, classes, and policies to increase awareness and participation; creative thinker who can generate innovative ideas aligned with business objectives; identify connections and tailor communications to audience needs; develop project plans and timelines to achieve outcomes.
  • Content Creation & Communication: Strong writing skills for web, social media, publications, etc.; design marketing plans, develop new concepts, maintain established practices; high attention to detail and branded messaging; effective verbal and written communication.
  • Brand & Messaging Compliance: Learn and apply institutional brand rules and guidelines; review and edit others’ work for brand consistency.
  • Preferred Qualifications: General knowledge of photography/videography and familiarity with editing software.
