Performance-Based Stipend Allocation
- Effective: An additional stipend of $7,500 shall be granted.

Custom Job Purpose
This position exists to ensure that all students learn the basic and essential skills at each grade level.
Instructional Process
- Plans and implements a program of instruction aligned to the district's philosophy, goals and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
- Creates purposeful lesson plans with effective teaching strategies and maximizes time on task.
- Plans and implements a program of study designed to meet individual needs of students.
- Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning using a variety of teaching strategies.
- Encourages student enthusiasm for learning and develops good study habits.
- Provides progress and interim reports as required.
- Prepares substitute information as requested by the building principal.
- Plans and prescribes purposeful assignments for paraprofessionals, tutors, and volunteers as needed.
- Recognizes learning problems and makes referrals as appropriate.
- Demonstrates strong subject matter knowledge and uses effective oral and written expression.
Curriculum Development
- Keeps current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory; shares knowledge for curriculum improvement.
- Assists in ongoing curriculum revision and selection of instructional materials.
- Becomes acquainted with supplemental services beneficial to students beyond regular classroom activities.
Classroom Management
- Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and discipline techniques aligned with district guidelines.
- Protects students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Assumes supervision responsibilities and coordinates student supervision as needed.
Public Relations
- Upholds board policy and school rules; communicates positively about the school program to the public.
- Maintains regular attendance and planning time discipline.
- Works cooperatively with parents to strengthen the educational program.
- Establishes cooperative relations with staff.
Professional Growth
- Continues professional growth through workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced coursework.
- Maintains membership in professional organizations.
- Plans appropriate in-service training; attends staff, department, and committee meetings as required.
Student Evaluation
- Evaluates student achievement using multiple assessment methods; adjusts instructional program based on results.
- Maintains accountability for the instructional program as required by the building principal.
- Respects confidentiality of records in accordance with ethics and laws.
Non-Essential Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work cooperatively with parents, districts and agencies; ability to convey concepts in oral and written form.
- Knowledge of child development and ability to administer testing instruments as required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with students, teams and groups.
- Flexible schedule; bilingual/biliterate preferred.
Education, Experience and/or Certification
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Certification/qualification requirements as defined by the Course Code(s).
