This applicant pool will be used to fill a part-time Instructor in Music vacancy at Moorpark College for the Spring 2026 semester. The initial focus of this assignment will be teaching Applied Music - Voice.

Representative Duties
- Provide academic instruction through lecture, lab, or performance courses; assess and develop cognitive abilities, communication skills, and higher order thinking skills through appropriate assignments in various instructional settings.
- Advise and instruct students regarding programs of study, higher education options, lifelong learning resources, and study skills; refer students to support services as appropriate.
- Observe and evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback in class, online, or during office hours.
- Plan and organize instruction according to approved course outlines and student learning outcomes; align with department, college, and district goals.
- Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, progress, curriculum, and student learning outcomes; submit data and reports timely.
- Evaluate and select instructional materials and order materials to ensure timely delivery.
- Revise and update course content in line with theory, applications, and industry developments; update syllabi and assess measurable student performance indicators.
- May participate in curriculum development and in committees or meetings; may participate in articulation and matriculation activities.
- May provide work direction to others; perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the discipline as approved by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges handbook.
Master’s in music OR Bachelor’s in music and Master’s in humanities OR the equivalent. All coursework must be from a recognized accredited college or university. If education completed outside the United States, see guidance for foreign transcripts.
Equivalency: The district recognizes that candidates may qualify through alternative combinations of education and experience. If your transcripts do not list the exact degree title, you may complete a Supplemental Questionnaire for Equivalency for review by the Equivalency Committee. Starting Salary and Benefits
