Fox Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas (DMAs) and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. The stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week.

WTTG/WDCA – Streaming Producer (Regular Full-Time)

Are you a creative and innovative producer ready to shape the future of digital news? FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is seeking a dynamic Streaming Producer to join our team, focusing on our successful live-streaming programs including DMV Zone Live and Do You Like It Or Not?. This is your chance to produce raw, impactful live news coverage for the Washington, D.C. market and beyond.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce Live Shows: Oversee the daily production of live digital shows, from initial news gathering and story development to final post-production.
  • Create Compelling Content: Write scripts, develop rundowns, and craft compelling segments that engage our digital audience.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with reporters, hosts, and executive producers to deliver seamless and insightful programming.
  • Coordinate Live Coverage: Partner with the assignment desk and field crews to coordinate live shots, graphics, and video, ensuring comprehensive coverage of breaking news. Develop authentic segments, write compelling stories, build rundowns, and edit scripts.
  • Manage Editorial Vision: Log and edit video, make crucial editorial decisions to shape the final product, and work with executive producers, writers, reporters, and hosts to create fast-paced digital shows.
  • Active Participation: Take part in daily editorial, department, and production meetings, contributing strategic insights and leading discussions.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, reporting to the Executive Producer.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field with a minimum of three years of experience in a medium-to-large television market.
  • Editorial Expertise: Exceptional news judgment, strong writing skills, understanding of storytelling for a digital audience, and awareness of current events.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and provide clear direction under pressure.
  • Creativity & Innovation: Passion for finding groundbreaking and innovative ways to present information and set a new standard for live-streamed news.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor with the ability to stay cool under pressure and handle strong personalities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines, working independently and as part of a team.
