We are seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist in our Charleston, Florence or Myrtle Beach location. Hybrid will be considered for the right candidate. The Marketing Specialist supports the firms strategic marketing and growth initiatives, playing a key role in driving visibility as the premier employer and partner in assurance, tax and advisory services and, ultimately, market growth. Working closely with firm leadership, this individual is responsible for implementing targeted marketing, communications and business development support strategies that drive profitable growth and contributes to a strong employer brand.

The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of how strategic marketing and employer branding influence optimal business outcomes. This role requires self-motivation, organization, attention to detail, and a client-and people-first mindset. The Marketing Specialist will drive the implementation of firm-wide campaigns, seek innovation in all that they do, be intellectually challenged, collaborate with experienced business professionals, and help position the firm as a destination for top talent and trusted client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities Of The Position Include:

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Implements firm-wide and service line specific marketing strategies in collaboration with firm leadership and service line leaders.
  • Supports the creation and execution of strategic marketing campaigns that attract the ideal client to WR key services, showcase thought leadership, promote key events, and reinforce the firms reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Track and report ROI of marketing activities to inform future strategy.
  • Oversees firm website, developing it into a lead generator for new business opportunities and talent acquisition.
  • Coordinates the production of marketing collateral such as brochures, proposals, presentations, swag, signage, etc.
  • Develops and executes social media strategies that promote the firm's brand identity and culture, enhance employer branding, and attract top talent through engaging and targeted content.
  • Manages database of firm contacts to ensure accurate data and effective outreach.
  • Collaborates with partners and subject matter experts to coordinate marketing and speaking opportunities

Content & Communications

  • Supports thought leadership initiatives by assisting with article development and publication, including ghostwritten articles.
  • Writes persuasive copy for sales collateral.
  • Assists in the development of high-value content like whitepapers, case studies, videos, etc.
  • Aids in the development and distribution of press releases.
  • Collaborates with HR and Operations on recruitment marketing, onboarding materials, internal/external messaging and employee engagement and culture building efforts.
  • Creates and delivers content for events, email, social sharing, internal/external newsletters, intranet etc.

Events & Sponsorships

  • Supports event planning and execution, including webinars, conferences, trade shows, roundtables and other firm wide events such as Firm Day.
  • Manage sponsorship opportunities and ensure brand visibility at external events that drives measurable return against established marketing objectives.
  • Partners with the Practice Leader and pursuit team to support proposals and presentations.
  • Maintains database of sales opportunities; ensures data is up-to-date.
  • Flexible options in hours and capability to work in office and remote; flexible dress for the day policy

Requirements

  • A bachelors degree in business, marketing, communications or related field. Advanced degrees or special training in marketing a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Extremely client service-oriented.
  • Advanced skills with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience working with CRM/Microsoft Dynamics, email distribution software, social scheduling tool and Canva/design software.
