Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Technical Writer
with a strong background in the
finance environment
to support the Office of the CFO. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can write, review, and refine complex documentation with clarity and precision. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets high standards of accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Hybrid Schedule - Onsite location is Washington, DC Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive reviews of project documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with financial and regulatory standards. Draft, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation including procedures, policies, workflows, and reports for the CFO’s office. Provide strategic guidance on documentation structure and content to ensure consistency and readability across all materials. Recommend and implement best practices for documentation processes and standards. Collaborate closely with C-Suite executives and senior stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Support the development of documentation strategies that enhance transparency, compliance, and operational efficiency. Qualifications:
Minimum 7–10 years of experience as a
technical writer , preferably in a
finance, compliance, or government contracting
environment. Strong understanding of financial terminology, reporting structures, and regulatory documentation requirements. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Experience working with executive leadership and managing sensitive or confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Adobe Acrobat, Visio). Familiarity with EEO, federal contracting, or public sector documentation standards is a plus. Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting documentation for CFO or finance departments Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
