Business Technology Integrators (BTI), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business with over 25 years of experience delivering innovative IT solutions to the Federal Government, is seeking a Lead UX / IX Designer to support DHS USCIS. Responsibilities
The Lead UX / IX Designer shall lead the user experience and user interaction design of complex, enterprise-level services and systems. Lead will closely collaborate with USCIS staff and other DevSecOps team members (business analysts, UX / IX designers, engineers, and technical leads) to design solutions that meet business objectives. Lead UX / IX Designers will understand the functional and technical landscape to design solutions that benefit users. Serve as consultants to USCIS business representatives, subject matter experts (SME) and other non-designers to emphasize the role of design in product development and suggest organizational tactics for improving design solutions as needed. Collaborate with other UX professionals across all DevSecOps teams to develop standards and craft solutions addressing user problems. Work in alignment with other Lead UX / IX Designers on the technical direction and standard framework for building out design-led solutions. Ensure and maintain Section 508-compliant user interfaces. Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of eight (8) years of IT experience focused on development projects, with at least three (3) years in the architecture and design of UX / IX for enterprise applications Strong understanding and experience designing complex, enterprise-level services and systems Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work closely with client and contractor staff Proficiency in interaction design theory and ability to create prototypes with HTML and CSS or using an online tool such as Figma DHS requires Section 508-compliant user interfaces.
