Overview

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Manager, Direct Response Marketing. The Direct Response Marketing Manager contributes to the development and strategic planning in the areas of direct mail and online marketing fundraising. Responsible for over $4 million in revenue and over $10 million in expenses, this position plans, develops, and manages monthly and annual budgets, maximizing revenue for WWF. The role involves setting strategies and tactics to maximize ROI, evaluating campaign results, and reporting to management. It also oversees cross-channel acquisition campaigns and plays a key role in converting direct response donors from offline channels, while also increasing online response. Salary Range

$99,800 – $143,500 Responsibilities

Oversee the direct mail acquisition program, including package creative development, artwork review, proofing, data merges, list exchange, package splits, and expense management. Manage marketing efforts across direct mail and online channels in collaboration with the Digital Fundraising team to optimize donor giving and lifetime value. Ensure that the direct mail acquisition program aligns with the overall Membership & Marketing strategy by tracking KPIs and liaising with external vendors for production, analysis, and data management. Design and manage innovative campaigns to acquire new donors, emphasizing one-time giving and secondary recurring donations, including the use of QR codes and URLs. Develop and manage operating plans, prepare annual budgets, monitor fiscal performance, and conduct strategic as well as financial analyses. Evaluate potential expansion into alternative direct response marketing channels and recommend new tactics. Stay updated on direct mail marketing best practices, testing new creative elements and tactics to enhance package performance. Participate actively in broader team meetings and initiatives, bringing insights and innovative ideas to support collective goals. Key Competencies

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 8 years of direct mail and online fundraising/acquisition experience. Direct mail production experience is a bonus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders. Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Proven ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly.
