What You’ll Do We are seeking a Creative Director of Finishing to lead our newly formed Art Department within the Print division. This individual will guide the finishing process for all creative originating from the Print team, ensuring seamless execution from concept comps to final high-resolution deliverables. The role requires exceptional technical expertise in Photoshop and finishing, combined with creative vision and leadership.

The Creative Director will also develop team skills in digital painting and high-end illustration, and mentor junior designers and illustrators to finishing-level capability.

Lead the finishing process for all Print-sourced creative, ensuring accuracy, polish, and production-readiness.

Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Finishers to maintain creative integrity from concept through final output.

Provide high-end finishing expertise, including photo-real retouching, compositing, perspective correction, and large-scale rebuilds.

Manage and mentor the Sketch Illustration Team, upskilling them toward advanced digital painting and finishing.

Ensure consistency, quality, and brand alignment under the vision of the Executive Creative Director.

Partner with department leadership to streamline workflow efficiencies and resource allocation.

Contribute to the overall creative strategy, balancing artistry with technical excellence.

What We’re Looking For

10+ years of experience in entertainment advertising, finishing, or high-end digital imaging

Proven expertise in Photoshop and other relevant finishing tools

Strong background in photo-real retouching, compositing, and large-format rebuilds

Experience directing or mentoring junior artists

Familiarity with AI creative tools (e.g., MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly) and enthusiasm for evolving workflows

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments

Portfolio that demonstrates finishing expertise and creative leadership

The starting base compensation range for this position is $175,000-$185,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, location, prior experience, and education

Extended periods of desk work, including prolonged sitting while performing finishing tasks such as detailed retouching, compositing, digital painting, and reviewing large files and proofs for print readiness.

Communication: Regular verbal and written exchanges during team meetings, creative reviews, and check-ins. The role includes giving clear direction and coaching to team members and aligning with creative and production leads.

Visual acuity: Sharp visual focus for quality control and a high level of detail, with color accuracy and depth perception for realistic composites.

Utilization of technology: Daily use of Adobe Creative Cloud tools, pen tablet or stylus, calibrated monitors, and project management platforms (e.g., Wrike).

Multi-tasking and manual dexterity: Manage multiple projects and deadlines with precise hand-eye coordination.

Movement: Occasional standing and walking during team sessions or reviews.

Material handling: Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 10 pounds, such as printed proofs or presentation boards.

Work environment and schedule: Primary remote work with potential extended hours during print deadlines, including evenings and some weekends. Occasional travel for in-person reviews may be required with notice.
