Design Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities General Responsibilities: Oversee the entire design process , from initial deposit to the Pre-construction Meeting. Manage the design schedule , ensuring all projects are completed within established timelines. Supervise material ordering , focusing on accuracy, timely delivery, and proper staging. Foster a positive company culture
and actively promote teamwork. Evaluate project feasibility
and conduct detailed discovery to ensure successful project initiation. Ensure high design quality
and effectively communicate construction details to clients. Reporting: Provide a
weekly Design Schedule Report
(flight schedule) detailing project timeliness and any delays. Report weekly on the
percentage of on-time job completions . Update the
throughput schedule
based on evolving design timelines. Update
sales numbers and projections
weekly during the Leadership L10 meeting. Meetings: Weekly Design Schedule Meeting
(Flight Schedule): Review timeliness and forecast project progression. Weekly Leadership L10 Meeting : Participate in high-level strategy discussions. Weekly Pre-Production L10 Meeting : Focus on upcoming project readiness. Weekly Construction Meeting : Discuss in-production job progress and address any current issues. Monthly WIP Review : Conduct a Work-In-Progress review with Nick Jr. and the Production Manager. Accountability: Achieve high
customer satisfaction , targeting an average score of 4.5 or higher. Maintain a high
on-time design schedule completion rate
of over 90%. Meet
job profitability goals , with an average Gross Profit Percentage (GP%) between 38%-42%. Promote a strong
team culture , with at least three monthly nominations for internal recognition. Actively participate in
peer reviews
to contribute to continuous team improvement.
Work Hours & Schedule Regular hours:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional onsite visits
may be required outside of regular hours. Expected in-office presence:
A minimum of 36 hours per week.
Compensation This is a
full-time, salaried, exempt position . Salary and benefits
will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
