Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Evans, Georgia

A K-12 school in Evans, GA is seeking skilled Teachers for the Visually Impaired to join on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role offers the opportunity to work closely with students who have visual impairments, providing specialized instruction and support to help them achieve their academic and developmental goals. Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement appropriate educational plans. Utilize assistive technology and specialized teaching strategies to enhance student learning and independence. Conduct assessments of students' visual abilities and adapt materials and approaches accordingly. Communicate regularly with families to provide updates on student progress and strategies for at-home support. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in visual impairment. Experience working with visually impaired students in K-12 settings.
