Overview We are seeking a creative, curious, and technically minded Space and Defense Graphic Design/Illustration Analyst to support our graphics team in developing engaging visuals for space and defense-focused communications. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to illustrations that visualize mission concepts, space technologies, and operational scenarios. Ideal candidates are passionate about storytelling through visuals and interested in applying their artistic skills to real-world, high-impact space innovation efforts.
Key Responsibilities Create original illustrations for print, digital, and multimedia content focused on space and defense themes
Support the development of concept art, storyboards, infographics, and mission visuals
Collaborate with graphics team, writers, and subject matter experts to ensure visuals accurately and effectively convey complex space-related ideas
Revise artwork based on feedback and maintain version control
Assist in organizing and archiving visual assets for future use
Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to be submitted for a security clearance upon hire
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop)
Experience using tablets (e.g., Wacom, iPad Pro) or digital illustration tools like Procreate or Clip Studio Paint
Strong drawing and composition skills (digital and traditional)
Interest in space, defense, or technical illustration is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain visual concepts and collaborate effectively across technical and creative teams
Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback effectively
Portfolio showcasing illustration work required
Location Remote from Melbourne/Orlando FL or Arlington VA/Washington DC area
