Ui/Ux Designer
GovCIO is currently hiring for a UI/UX Designer to support the VR&E PSES contract involved in updating the VA.gov website. This position will be fully remote within the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements user interface wireframes and mockups using Figma, Storybook.
- Participates in system planning and the development deployment process.
- Oversees the frontend design processes, establishing user guidelines.
- Collaborates with developers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Mentors and leads the design team.
- Develops and upholds UX design best practices.
- Engages in user requirement gathering, crafting user stories.
- Manages the creation of detailed UX documentation.
- Leads user testing and UX integration efforts.
- Maintains active communication with stakeholders.
- Performs thorough UX analyses of system requirements.
- Participates actively in design and sprint reviews.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's with 3+ years (or commensurate experience).
- Proven expertise in designing interactive applications using tools like Figma.
- Strong analytical skills to investigate user behaviors.
- Ability to lead UX projects independently.
- Experience in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient with Agile UX methodologies.
- Deep understanding of the UX design lifecycle.
- Familiarity with cloud-based UX tools and environments.
- Experience with design version control and project management tools.
- Adaptability to remote work setups.
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience working with the VA and/or other Federal agencies.
- Strong familiarity with the VA.gov platform.
Clearance Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust.

Posted Pay Range: USD $87,500.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
