Overview Senior UX Designer with deep expertise in Design Systems to help define, expand, and champion our system across web and mobile platforms. This role leads the strategy, structure, and evolution of the design system, ensuring consistent, accessible, and high-quality experiences across all customer touchpoints. You will work with product designers, engineers, accessibility specialists, and brand teams to drive adoption, build scalable components and patterns, and deliver documentation and tooling that empowers teams across the organization.

Responsibilities Own the design system strategy, governance, and component library to support multiple platforms.
Collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, and brand teams to define, build, and scale core components and patterns.
Ensure accessibility, flexibility, and easy adoption of the design system; deliver documentation, tooling, and standards for the organization.
Mentor fellow designers, uphold quality, and foster shared ownership of the system.
Participate in team design critiques and working sessions to promote craft, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Requirements / Qualifications 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design with at least 2–3 years focused on design systems.
Proven experience scaling and governing a multi-platform design system.
Expertise in Figma (component libraries, variants, autolayout, tokens) and related tools (e.g., Storybook, Zeroheight, Miro).
Strong portfolio showcasing systems work, including pattern libraries, guidelines, and cross-functional collaboration.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS and how design translates to code.
Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and communicate across distributed teams.
Experience building and maintaining design documentation, design kits in Figma, and internal training to support adoption.
Experience mentoring product teams in applying the design system and evolving it based on feedback.
Ability to drive governance processes for system quality, contribution workflows, and component lifecycle management.
Awareness of industry best practices in design systems, tooling, accessibility, and UI/UX design; ability to communicate to the broader organization.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries. Experience with design tokens, theming, and accessibility-first component design. Familiarity with content design, localization strategies, and internationalization. Experience in service design or information architecture is a plus.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be specific to elections, plan, or program terms.
