We are seeking a skilled Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Lamination Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lamination equipment used to bond multiple layers of flexible films. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Operator will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor lamination machines to produce high-quality laminated film materials.
- Set up equipment according to production orders, including material loading, adhesive preparation, and machine adjustments.
- Inspect laminated products for defects such as wrinkles, bubbles, misalignment, or poor adhesion, and make necessary corrections.
- Follow work orders, production schedules, and job specifications to ensure accurate product output.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Document production data, including material usage, run times, and quality checks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety policies.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to resolve process or product issues.
- Assist with training new operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience operating in lamination and flexible packaging industries preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Familiarity with adhesives, substrates, and lamination processes.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, production specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, adhesives, and varying temperatures.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
- Rotating shifts, overtime, and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
