Overview
Advancement Content Creator – Advancement Content Creator. Department: Donor Relations. Classification: Exempt. FTE: 1.0.
Work Schedule: The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors.
Work Location: This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office weekly. Some evening and weekend hours are required for special events and program needs. Will work on campus fully for the first six months.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000.
Essential Job Duties
- Develop high-quality audience-centric content to support St. Olaf's fundraising initiatives that highlight the import and impact of giving within campaign goal areas including financial aid, academic and experiential learning, career and vocational discernment, and student success.
- Research established and emerging priorities of an upcoming comprehensive multi-year campaign.
- Write, edit, and advance production of engaging and compelling proposals, reports, digital content, and other creative products from draft through fulfillment across channels.
- Develop and manage a content calendar, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with campaign goals and brand messaging.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications, Development, Donor Relations, Associate Deans, Directors, and other teams.
- Analyze content performance metrics.
- Ensure content is accurate, fact-checked, and meets editorial standards.
- Assist Advancement events.
- Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
- Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received and Exercised
- Reports to the Director of Donor Relations and Communications.
- This position does not supervise staff or student workers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree; maintain a valid driver's license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record.
- Experience: 3+ years of related experience in communications, grants, reporting, project management, research, stewardship, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree; maintain a valid driver's license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record.
- Experience: 5+ years of related experience in communications, grants, reporting, project management, research, stewardship, or related fields.
Prerequisites
Employment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check which may include: criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, a motor vehicle check, verification of DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre-employment physical.
