Overview

We’re looking for an AVP, Creative Director, Video to join our Creative Production team. This senior role will represent the agency to clients, including those in the corporate space. They will set the creative and production vision for video storytelling across the organization. You’ll lead video projects from concept through post-production — including on-the-ground shoots — and serve as a thought partner to clients and internal teams on how to use video to move audiences.

This is a high-impact role for a strategic, creative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing vision-setting with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate has experience in social impact storytelling and Corporate Social Good (CSG) work, as well as strong skills in managing the production process to ensure exceptional results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Creative Strategy – Develop original creative briefs, script samples, and storyboards. Translate client-approved messaging and campaign direction into impactful, story-driven videos.
  • Produce and Direct On-Location Shoots – Hire and manage crew, lead pre-production meetings, prepare talent, conduct interviews, and oversee client relationships.
  • Edit Across Diverse Formats and Styles – Deliver work across anthem, social media, advertising, documentary, and testimonial formats.
  • Color and Audio Finishing – Apply advanced color correction, audio mixing, and post-production polishing to ensure consistency and high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with Multiple Stakeholders – Work closely with clients, internal production, creative, and account teams to deliver cohesive, aligned work.
  • Manage Production Projects and Teams – Oversee timelines, budgets, and workflows; mentor producers, editors, and coordinators; translate strategic guidance and client feedback to the creative team.
  • Strengthen and Evolve Production Systems – Track projects, maintain clear communication across teams and with clients, and refine workflows to increase efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading the creative strategy and post-production process for video projects in a client-facing capacity.
  • Experience in Corporate Social Good, ESG, or social impact storytelling preferred.
  • Expertise editing with Adobe Creative Cloud and other industry-standard tools (e.g., Premiere, After Effects, Audition, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Advanced skills in color correction and grading with strong attention to visual quality and consistency.
  • Proficiency in following brand guidelines and transforming brands into impactful video storytelling.
  • A strong sense for visual storytelling and a keen eye for detail and continuity.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in collaborative, cross-departmental environments; able to develop clear production procedures.
  • Confidence presenting creative concepts and video work to clients and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Critical thinking and creative problem solving; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience using project management tools to track tasks, timelines, and team coordination.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards as they relate to video production.
  • Background in impact or documentary filmmaking is a bonus.
  • Salary information: competitive salary against industry standards with published salary bands; AVP, Creative Director salary band = $125,000 – $150,000; year-end discretionary bonus.
