What you will do
Kenvue is seeking a strategic, modern, and creative Senior Manager, Creative Strategy to elevate the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of creative across our global brand portfolio. Sitting within the Marketing Excellence team, this role serves as a subject matter expert and strategic enabler - equipping brand teams and agency partners with the tools, guidance and standards needed to create breakthrough brand-building content across channels.
The Sr. Manager, Creative Strategy, is the go-to expert on what effective creative looks like at Kenvue - and how to get there. They bring deep knowledge of channel best practices, creative effectiveness, and serve as a coach, consultant and codifier for creative excellence across paid, owned, earned platforms and healthcare professional (HCP) / influencer marketing practices.
The Sr. Manager, Creative Strategy will work with brand teams to develop comprehensive creative strategies that align with business goals and codify learnings for continuous improvement. This person not only applies proven best practices but also champions AI and other emerging marketing technologies that can enhance creative strategy and execution, helping teams explore new ways to improve creative effectiveness.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for storytelling and be an influential and collaborative leader who brings thought leadership and expertise in specific focus areas, including brand equity, influencer marketing, ecommerce, SEO and digital shelf, and HCP content.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on creative strategies that align with business goals and market trends, helping brand teams develop high-performing, platform-fit content.
- Collaborate with brand teams to translate their business needs, challenges, and insights into actionable creative strategies.
- Help codify Kenvue's standards for creative excellence; embed models and frameworks that step change how we go to market globally, driving consistency of communications and clear message hierarchies, resulting in global brand recognition and local brand relevance.
- Develop tools, briefs, learning agendas, test & learn initiatives that support creative effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of content and platform trends and emerging technologies that inform creative strategy, and translate those insights into actionable guidance for teams.
- Collaborate with cross functional partners in Media, Insights, Brand, Production to ensure alignment between consumer understanding, brand strategy and creative strategy.
- Contribute to brand building and integrated communications planning guidance.
- Participate in creative review processes to help elevate work.
- Help build a community of practice for creative excellence across Kenvue's marketing organization.
- Help define and implement creative effectiveness scoring and evaluation processes and tools to improve measurable performance and accountability.
- Reinforce a creative taxonomy to ensure that our content is organized, measurable, and easily searchable.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- A minimum of 8+ years experience and demonstrated proficiency in a creative strategy and/ or creative planning role.
- Deep knowledge of creative excellence across a range of channels and formats (eg social, digital video, display, influencer, web, CRM, retail media).
- Strong understanding of the content ecosystem and how brands, agencies, production partners, creators, publishers, influencers and stores integrate for creative excellence.
- Ability to connect creative excellence with marketing effectiveness, ensuring content drives business outcomes.
- Demonstrated familiarity with AI tools and platforms.
- Passion for clear storytelling, message hierarchy development, consumer experience mapping, content creation trends, including trends in addressable creative and influencer marketing.
- Experience with coaching, simplification, and capability building.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing without direct authority.
- Creative agency experience.
- Exposure to brand building frameworks and laws of growth (ie Ehrenberg-Bass, Binet & Field).
- Able to be an individual contributor, willing and eager to work in an agile hands-on capacity to serve as a partner and trusted resource to marketers who lead content development.
- Exceptional ability to manage complexity, ambiguity and evolving processes.
- Experience collaborating with global and local brand teams in matrixed organizations a plus.
- Experience in consumer healthcare, beauty, or CPG categories is a plus.
What's in it for you
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:
$152,150.00 - $214,800.00
This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
