Senior Cybersecurity Product Marketing Manager - Data Security Platform | Washington, DC - Remote Virtru is a data protection provider focused on end-to-end encryption and data privacy. We build data protection solutions that are easy to use and fast to implement, built on the Trusted Data Format (TDF) standard. We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market, sales enablement, and thought leadership for our zero trust SaaS applications, reporting to the SVP of Product Marketing. This role defines and drives our go-to-market strategy for the Data Security Platform, shaping positioning, messaging, and thought leadership to support growth across enterprise and government sectors. Responsibilities

Market Insights:

Create strategic insights and collaborate with Product Management and Sales to define targets, personas (economic and technical), and buyer insights for technical and business decision-makers across enterprise and government sectors. Strategic Positioning:

Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates data security solutions; tailor messaging for technical audiences (developers, security engineers, architects). Collaborate on pricing strategies aligned with market expectations and value delivery. Commercial Readiness:

Act as a liaison between Product, Sales, and Marketing to execute product strategy; lead launch readiness and develop buyer education resources, demand generation programs, and go-to-market materials with Sales, CS, Sales Channels, and Partners. Technical Engagement:

Drive adoption and engagement within technical communities; create technical content and resources demonstrating value to technical audiences. Content Creation:

Design ongoing enablement initiatives for Sales and channel partners; develop training sessions and refine content, demos, and readiness materials; create thought leadership on data-centric security and zero-trust. Competitive Landscape:

Monitor and report on the competitive landscape, including SWOT, positioning, and pricing analysis of key competitors in enterprise security and data protection markets. Qualifications

Cybersecurity Product Marketing Experience:

8+ years in enterprise-grade security or data protection with success in B2B/B2G markets. Technical-Business Translation:

Ability to bridge complex security concepts for developers, security engineers, CISOs, and business stakeholders. Technical Security Knowledge:

Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, data protection models, zero trust, and regulatory frameworks (CMMC, GDPR, FedRAMP, HIPAA, ITAR). Developer Marketing Experience:

Experience marketing to developers with API-focused strategies, content, and engagement programs. Strategic Go-to-Market Leadership:

History of leading large-scale software product launches with commercialization strategies. Competitive Positioning:

Ability to craft differentiated value propositions in competitive security markets. Sales Enablement:

Experience building technical sales tools (white papers, battle cards, demos). Content & Storytelling:

Strong written and verbal communication across formats (presentations, whitepapers, webinars, technical docs). Analytical Mindset:

Data-driven decision-making with pricing strategy and SaaS metrics analysis. Competitive Intelligence:

Experience monitoring security market trends and conducting competitive analyses. Preferred Qualifications & Perks

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience. Preferred: Pragmatic Marketing or relevant security certifications.
