Peraton is advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA’s Business, National Airspace, and Technical Computing Services (BNATCS) contract. We are seeking a highly experienced Implementation Project Manager with expertise in Voice and Telecommunications to play a critical role in the transformation of the nation’s air traffic control system. This initiative focuses on enhancing safety, improving reliability and security, reducing outages, lowering total cost of ownership, and modernizing the aviation system with state-of-the-art technologies and facilities. In this role, you will lead deployment and implementation of voice and telecom systems across mission-critical FAA facilities. Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans. Coordinate cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and FAA representatives to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide transparent project updates. Anticipate deployment challenges and implement contingency plans. Oversee site readiness assessments and final acceptance testing. Oversee change management activities, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal operational impact. Coordinate site surveys, installation scheduling, and final acceptance reviews. Track and report on deployment KPIs, budget adherence, and timeline milestones. Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to optimize cost and delivery performance. Lead lessons-learned reviews post-deployment to refine future implementations. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications : U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. 8+ years with BS (or equivalent). Proven experience managing large-scale telecom or infrastructure deployments in 24/7 operational settings. Minimum of 8+ years managing large-scale telecom or infrastructure implementations. Experience managing deployments for 24/7 operational environments where uptime and security are critical. Knowledge of Voice-over-IP (VoIP), TDM/IP migration strategies, and telecommunications hardware. Proficiency in project scheduling and resource management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira). Preferred Qualifications : Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems. FAA NAS deployment knowledge preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred. Proven record managing multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects. Experience with FAA NAS or other mission-critical telecom deployments. Strong conflict resolution, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication skills.
