Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain system and sub-system drawing packages.
• Plan layouts, draw, and revise detailed part assembly and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts and standard data.
• Incorporate redlines from the engineering team.
• Utilize computer-aided design equipment and graphic tools such as CAD, CAM, or CATIA.
• Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
• Determine scaling, inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
• Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Prepare complete production detail drawings.
• Contribute design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• For Drafter Level 2: 2 years of additional education and/or related experience.
• For Drafter Level 3: 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, NX, CADAM, and CADEX.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Capability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or higher.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Work Environment:

The position operates on a 9/80 schedule, requiring onsite presence. The role demands a professional work environment where attention to detail and precision are highly valued.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Palmdale, California.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
