Progressive Recruitment is hiring: Designer/Drafter in Raleigh

Utilizes CADD software to create construction-grade detailed design drawings related to electro-mechanical systems of electrical substations. A Designer (II) should have a minimum of 3 years of industry experience and be comfortable functioning independently as well as in a team environment.

On a daily basis, a Designer (II) will spend most of the day developing construction plans and details according to project and customer specifications, as well as national and local design codes and standards.

A Designer (II) may be asked to travel to job sites to collect data necessary for completing their design drawing packages or to assist in preparing bid packages.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2-year degree in design, engineering, or engineering technology (or related field) or a high school diploma with 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Expertise in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
